Willy Banjo — Preston’s Head Shop Since 1993

Willy Banjo is an independent head shop in Preston city centre. We’ve been trading since 1993, first on the markets and then from our basement shop at 13a Lowthian Street, where we still are today.

We stock bongs, pipes, grinders, rolling papers, vaporisers, stash storage, scales, incense, candles and plenty of other weird and wonderful things from around the globe.

What we stock

Thirty-odd years in, the range is deep rather than trendy for the sake of it. We stock what works and what people come back for.

• Bongs — glass, acrylic, ceramic and silicone, including Chongz.
• Grinders — metal, acrylic and wooden, from budget grinders through to Santa Cruz Shredder and HeadChef.
• Rolling papers, tips and cones — skins, tips and cones, including plenty of RAW.
• Stash and storage — smell-proof bags, tins and diversion safes.
• Pipes, vaporisers, digital scales, ashtrays, incense and candles.
• Willy Banjo merchandise — our own gear.

If you’re after something specific, ring the shop first. We often have stock downstairs that hasn’t made it onto the website yet.

Who we are

We’re an independent Preston shop, run by the same people, in the same basement, for more than thirty years.

No chain. No head office. Just a proper shop with people behind the counter who know what they’re selling.

Before the internet took over everything, we spent decades trading at festivals too — including twenty-one years at Glastonbury, the first Phoenix Festival and years at Leeds Festival.

The old sign on the shop summed us up pretty well:

“We sell all kinds of weird and wonderful things from around the globe.”
