HeadChef Herb Grinders

Headchef Herb Grinders

Headchef grinders are machined from 6061 aerospace-grade aluminium. That’s not a buzzword — 6061 is harder and more corrosion-resistant than the 1100-series alloy used in cheaper grinders. The anodised finish is baked on, not sprayed. It won’t flake.

The range runs from the Razor 40mm — compact, fits a jacket pocket without bulk — up to the Hexellence and Samurai at 55mm, which are proper desktop grinders. The Speedy 50mm is the most popular. Good teeth spacing, deep kief screen on the 4-part models, and the lid seats with a satisfying click rather than a rattle.

Headchef also do a Tekno ceramic-coated option. PTFE-free ceramic coating means almost nothing sticks to the inner walls — useful if you’re grinding resinous material regularly. Where Headchef focuses on ergonomic sizing and coating options, Santa Cruz Shredder focuses on tooth geometry and machining precision. Different priorities. Both are worth having.
