The Splif Stik is a slim anodised aluminium tube that works as a cigarette or joint holder and as a one-hitter pipe. That dual use is the point — it is the Red-Eye to carry if you want one item rather than two.
Used as a holder it keeps your fingers off the hot end and stops a roll-up getting crushed in a pocket. Used as a pipe it takes a small pull, cooled by the maze inside.
Red-Eye build their pipes around an internal maze. Instead of running straight from bowl to mouthpiece, the smoke is sent the long way round inside the body, which gives it time and metal surface to lose heat before it reaches you. It is the reason these cost more than a plain one-piece metal pipe.
