The Chunky is a 45cm Basil Bush glass ice bong, and the name refers to the wall thickness rather than the styling.
Height is the simplest cooling there is. At 45cm the smoke has a long run before it reaches you, and the ice notches in the neck add cold air on top of that — cubes rest above the water line rather than dropping into it.
Thick glass matters more as a bong gets taller. A tall thin-walled piece is top-heavy and fragile; heavy glass low down keeps the weight where you want it.
