A carb cap goes over the banger and traps the heat, so the concentrate keeps vaporising at a lower temperature rather than burning off. Quartz handles the heat cycling better than glass.
Check the fitting before ordering. Joint sizes are not interchangeable – a 14mm will not sit in an 18mm socket. Measure or check your bong first.
