Storz & Bickel is the German engineering firm that invented the modern dry herb vaporiser. Markus Storz began development in 1996 in Tuttlingen, Germany. The Volcano launched in 2000 as the first fully functional hot air generator for herbs, using a patented balloon system to capture and cool vapour. Jürgen Bickel joined in 2002, and they’ve been setting the standard ever since.
The Volcano remains the benchmark desktop vaporiser — 25 years of refinement, convection heating, precise temperature control. The Mighty+ and Crafty+ are the portable equivalents. All devices are handcrafted in Tuttlingen to ISO 13485 medical quality standards.
