The Death Planet is a 55mm three-part sifter grinder with a sci-fi shell, built in zinc alloy with diamond-cut aluminium teeth.
55mm is a large grinder. The wider body holds considerably more than a 40mm and gives you far more leverage on the lid, which matters once the teeth are working through a full load.
Three parts means a grinding chamber, a mesh screen and a pollen catch underneath. The screen is what makes it worth having over a two-part — the fine material drops through and collects separately instead of staying mixed in.
Zinc alloy is heavier than aluminium, so it feels solid rather than tinny. The diamond-cut teeth are the same profile used on plain grinders at this size — the shell is the only novelty part.
