A cigar cutter with a gunmetal finish and a metal body, rather than the moulded plastic used on cheaper cutters.
The weight is the point. A heavier cutter is steadier in the hand and the blades stay in alignment far longer, which is what actually determines whether a cutter still cuts cleanly in two years.
If you smoke cigars regularly this is the one to buy once. If you smoke them occasionally, the £1.99 plastic cutters do the same job for a while and cost nothing to lose.
Ring gauge is the width of a cigar measured in 64ths of an inch. A cutter rated to 20mm will not close on a 60 ring gauge cigar, so match the cutter to what you actually smoke before anything else.
