A 15cm — six inch — wooden pipe with a turned bowl and a full-length stem.
Length is the whole argument for this over a 7cm pocket pipe. The smoke travels the stem before it reaches you, losing heat on the way, and your face stays well clear of the bowl.
Wood behaves differently from metal or glass. It handles heat well without getting too hot to hold, and because it is porous it takes on oils from every use — so the pipe gains character over time rather than staying neutral.
