Cigar Cutter V-Cut and Round Cut 23mm

Description

A two-in-one cutter taking cigars up to a 23mm ring gauge, with a V-cut on one side and a round cut on the other.

A V-cut takes a wedge out of the cap. That concentrates the draw through a narrower channel and tends to give a more intense flavour, and because it removes less of the cap it holds the wrapper together well on a thinner cigar.

A round cut takes a circle out of the middle of the cap instead. It opens a smaller area than a straight cut, so the draw is tighter and more controlled.

Different cigars suit different cuts, and having both on one tool means you can decide at the point of lighting rather than at the point of buying.

Ring gauge is the width of a cigar measured in 64ths of an inch. A cutter rated to 20mm will not close on a 60 ring gauge cigar, so match the cutter to what you actually smoke before anything else.
