Most metal pipes need a screen in the bowl, and screens burn out, clog and get lost. The Screen Queen is designed around not needing one — the bowl geometry holds the load without a gauze underneath it.
The saving is small in money and real in hassle. No screens to keep in stock, no fiddling with a fresh one when the last has blocked, and no half-burnt gauze to pick out.
